Целью настоящей работы является определение постановки его задач, а именно: комплексное изучение проблем методики обучения текстов официально-делового стиля, строя текста современного английского делового письма, способов его перевода, а также рассмотрение делового английского языка с позиций социокоммуникативной стилистики как отраслевого языка, существующего в рамках официально-делового стиля.

В соответствии с целью исследования, в работе ставятся и решаются следующие задачи:

- изучение стиля официальных документов на английском языке и определение места современного английского делового письма в системе функциональных (речевых) стилей английского языка;

- выявление стилистических особенностей текста современного английского делового письма;

- определение структурной рамки (архитектоники) современного английского делового письма и функционально-тематическое разбиение деловых писем на английском языке;

Foreign Trade 

In the realm of foreign commerce, the US led the world in the value of imports in 1986, and was second only to the Federal Republic of Germany in the value of exports. Exports of domestic merchandise, raw materials, agricultural and industrial products, and military goods amounted in 1985 to nearly $207 billion. One rapidly growing export category was computers, which rose from $1.2 billion in 1970 to $13.8 in 1985, grain exports rose from $2.6 to $11.25 in 1985.

From the value of combined exports and imports, the largest proportion of US foreign trade is with the nations of the Western Hemisphere. Canada is the nation's single best customer and supplier.

The UK, the world's fourth-largest trading nation, is highly dependent on foreign trade. It must export almost all its copper, ferrous metals, lead, zinc, rubber, and raw cotton. Its exports, about 67 % of which are manufactured goods, account for more than 30 % of GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

According to industry sources, Acer, Elitegroup, and Mitac were among the earliest Taiwan companies to test the В 5 version of the Pentium which is now said to be distributed as the replacement for the flawed 60/66MHz Pentiums.
