  There is an attempt to reconstruct the theoretical and methodological system of views of Wilhelm Wundt – the greatest German psychologist and the scientist of encyclopaedic learning of the XIX century. The main stages of the thinker’s intellectual biography are described and characterised in here. The specific author’s interest is aimed at an exposure of the sociological constituent in the Wundt’s works. His project of the social and humanitarian knowledge methodology and the conception of “Völkerpsychologie” are examined especially. Some ideas of Wundt are analysed and compared with the ideas of other theorists (A. Comte, E. Durkheim, G. Tarde and others).
