The most beautiful place i've ever been to

         The most beautiful place I’ve ever been to is Saint Petersburg. It’s no exaggeration to say that this city is one of the most beautiful and most charming cities in the world. I went there in August 2011 and I’ve never regretted it. My Mom chose going to Saint Petersburg because it was combined with active holiday which we had never experienced before and wasn’t so expensive as going abroad.  
 From the very beginning the city amazed me. Saint Petersburg is the greenest one of Russia’s major cities. There’re lots of parks and gardens everywhere. And the views of the Neva River and the Nevsky avenue are really magnificent.  
           In Saint Petersburg each second building is a rewarding place to visit. A city of palaces and museums it offers not only world famous attractions like Hermitage, Winter Palace, overlooking the Neva River, and St. Isaacs Cathedral but also lesser known but equally fascinating sights. I’ve seen almost everything but the biggest impression was made by Peterhof. This tourist sight is called “The Russian Versaille” and it’s not far from true. The Grand Palace, Fountains with golden sculptures, Monplaisir, an incredibly huge and spectacular parkland… And undoubtedly the most stunning view there is the Finnish gulf. I couldn’t take my eyes of this spectacle for a long time. Other sights that made me shiver with delight were the Kunstkammer, which is also known as Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, the Golden room at the Hermitage and two great churches: St. Isaacs Cathedral and Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also went on a small boat tour of Saint Petersburg’s bridges which was also a great experience. The only place we didn’t manage to visit was Tsarskoe Selo and it was a real pity for us. 
       Saint Petersburg has all the advantages of a capital city with the sights to see and vibrant nightlife to enjoy, together with the welcoming atmosphere that is rarely found elsewhere. It has all the facilities – exclusive restaurants, live theatres, round-the-clock bars, nightclubs and shopping malls.  
           One of the most beautiful cities in the world Saint Petersburg has all the ingredients for an unforgettable travel experience: high art, lavish architecture, vibrant nightlife, extraordinary history and rich cultural traditions. As for me, I look forward to coming back to Saint Petersburg. And who knows, maybe I’ll be living there in the near future because this city has won my heart.
