Kazan  State Financial and  Economic Institute was  founded in 1931 on  the basis of economic  department of the Kazan  State University named  after V.I. Lenin.

 
 
 
 

Academic  year usually runs from  September 1^st to late June and is devided into two terms. At the end of each term students take examinations and have tests in several subjects.

 
 
 
 

Course  structure: The cours  of studies lasts four  years. During the first  two years students study  general subjects. After  that the students may  continue their education  for another couple of  years in order to  get a Higher Education  Diploma.

Rector  is the head of  the institute. He has  under him 5 faculties.  Each faculty has its  own dean.
