   Welcome to the National Museum, Ladies and gentlemen. We’ve only got one hour and there are a lot to see, so let’s start.

 On your left, you can see a painting by Rembrandt. There are 7 works by Rembrandt here now. Last year there were eight but sadly there was a robbery at the museum some months ago and the painting was stolen.

 For those of you who are interested, there is a major exhibition of Rembrandt’s work in London at the moment, and one next year in Amsterdam. I’m sure there will be a lot of visitors to both exhibitions.

 Now in this room, there is a very famous painting by Picasso. And this painting on the right is very interesting. It’s by an Italian artist but we don’t know which one. Oh no! It’s disappeared! There was another robbery only some minutes ago! Quick! Phone the police!

Единственная  творческая ошибка, которую может допустить менеджер.

  1 Вы не должны  быть деспотом, заставляя  американцев работать  вместе. Вы только должны дать им шанс. Полагают, что это именно то, что менеджеры могут обеспечить. Нет необходимости говорить что делать. Нет правил.2 Американцы ненавидят правила.

   В течение  трёх лет Пэт Фэллон, который вёл  дела в рекламном агентстве, открыл свой магазин. У него были те же проблемы, что и у любого другого в  делах бизнеса: выпуск продукции  высшего качества.3 Он осуществляет это при наличии максимальной личной свободы и также повышенного чувства личной ответственности.

   Фэллон  понимает, что и в его и в  вашем бизнесе, больше, чем вы осознаёте, 4что люди надеются не только на деньги, их признание, высокую оценку(уважение) и творческую свободу. Он даёт им то, в чём они нуждаются. Они дают ему то, в чём он нуждается: продукт высшего качества в производстве. Неважно, каким бизнесом вы занимаетесь, чтобы достичь успеха менеджеры должны создавать среду, которая делает людей более результативными. Недостаточно заставить их осознать детали, если вы ломаете их чувство свободы и спонтанности  в процессе. Вы должны достаточно хорошо их понимать, чтобы давать им не то, что вы хотите, но также то, в чём они нуждаются, чтобы внести максимальный вклад.

Взгляните на людей, которые вышли из ваших дверей и оставили вас, чтобы достичь успеха в своём собственном бизнесе. Возможности, которые они используют,  не только ради денег. Им необходимо помещение, чтобы выразить свой собственный стиль. Дайте им это помещение, а также признание и уважение, и в девяти из десяти случаев они останутся. Примите талантливых мужчин или женщин, один  шаг(поступок), исключая полного товарищества(партнёрства), сделают служащего президентом своей собственной компании скорее, чем потеряют его. . Примите талантливых мужчин или женщины один мера почти до полного партнерства, делает служащего президентом его собственной компании а не освобождающим он. 

Поэтому помните, вы можете заставить ваших служащих обратить внимание на детали, если вы развиваете руководящий стиль, когда точно доводите до них ваши поручения, и если вы демонстрируете ваше доверие к своим людям, давая им свободу в выполнении работы, вы нанимаете их на работу.  

Будьте как  джокер Вилли Шумахер. Он самый лучший в своём бизнесе, т. к. он легко управляет поводьями. Говорят, что лошадь никогда не знает, что он верхом на ней, до тех пор, пока ему это не понадобится.

   1You don’t have to be a tyrant to get Americans to work together. You just have to give them a reason. That’s what managers are supposed to be able to provide. Motivation. Goal. Resources. Leadership. But not restrictions. Not being told what to do. Not rules.2 Americans hate rules.

   Within three years of the time Pat Fallon, who runs an advertising agency, opened his shop. He has the same problem everyone in the business has: getting out a superior product. He does it 3by maximizing personal freedom and thus personal responsibility to an almost unheard-of extent.

   Fallon understands that in his business – and in yours, more than you realize – 4what people are looking for isn’t only money, it’s recognition, appreciation, and creative freedom.  He gives them what they need. They give him what he needs: the best product in the industry.

   No matter what business you’re in, to be successful, managers must create the kind of environment that makes their people the most productive. It isn’t enough to make them conscious of details if you destroy their sense of freedom and spontaneity in the process. You must understand them well enough to give them not what you want, but also what they need to make a maximum contribution.

   Look at the people who walk out your door and leave you to become successful at their own business. Chances are they’re not doing it just for money. They need the room to express their own styles. Give them that room, and the recognition, and appreciation, and nine out of ten times they won’t leave. Take talented men or women one step short of a full partnership, make the employee president of his own company rather than loosing him.
