Both Chekhov and Camus are the great writers of there times. Both of them look at the society and outline its problems, rising them to the reader and making him think about his own character. But how do they achieve such a powerful reaction from reader, what is that technique they use to make there stories so realistic that everybody who reads it can recognize him self in at least one of the characters? The answer to this question is the the way in which both Camus and Chekhov both use stereotypes, but in a rather unusual way. They often overexsadurate there stereotypes and then suddenly break them down and show the unsuspected sides of the stereotypical characters. However there are also difference in the techniques and ways of how Camus an Chekhov use stereotypes.
