Philosophy of Ukraine derived from the Greek tradition in its East form (Vizantian Empire). This type of the philosophy closely connected with the Orthodox Christianity. Beginning the study of the history of Ukrainian philosophy, it is necessary to take into account the needs of national revival, which defines the features of the present stage of the spiritual life of Ukrainian people. Of course, this process describes the current state of the nation. As is gone about renaissance, then not less apparent is the organic connection with its historical past. Because, in the past, is kept what we desire to revive in our memory, which, along with the dream of the future is an essential element of national consciousness. Moreover, one might even say that the historical memory - is the foundation of the nation and the information that is primarily the perception of its own history.

Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire until the Russian Revolution. The Ukrainian People’s Republic was founded on January 22, 1918 and remained under German influence until December 14, 1918 when Hetman P. Skoropadsky was overthrown. At the same time, a Soviet Ukrainian People’s Republic was set up on December 25, 1917. Fighting continued between White and Red forces through 1921. The People’s Republic was absorbed by Soviet Ukraine on May 7, 1921, and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic became a founding member of the Soviet Union on December 30, 1922.

Comme partout, en Ukraine, il y a la tradition d'orner le sapin et de mettre sous celui-ci des cadeaux. Les enfants pensent que les cadeaux sont apportés par le Père Noël, c'est pourquoi ils "commandent" les cadeaux que l'on créé d'avance.

2. If invited into a family home, it is traditional to bring a gift: a bottle of wine, a cake. A bouquet of flowers is customary. If you bring flowers - make sure it is an uneven number of flowers. If there is a child in the house, it is appropriate to provide him/her with a small gift as well.
3. Do not shake hands across the threshold of a door. It is considered bad luck.
