Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I’m glad to welcome you to village Nikita. 
Let me introduce myself, my name is Violetta. Today I will be your guide and Im going to tell you about  the Nikita Botanical Garden. We will have sightseeing tour around the garden and I gonna tell you its history while that. Well let’s start our excursion, please follow me. 
The Nikitsky Botanical garden lies 8km from Yalta between the village of Botanicheskoye and the Black sea. It is considered to be among the leading botanical gardens of the world 
 
 
The first trees in the garden were planted by the outstanding botanist Christian Steven in 1812. The garden created by Steven played a great role in spreading fruit and decorative plants in the Crimea. Later  it became an important scientific research center were major studies on introduction and selection are carried. Almost in 200 years more than 1150 awards the garden got. 
 
 
 
 
 
The world popularity brought to the garden its unique arboretum (tree nursery), being the business card of botanical science of Russia for many millions of  domestic and foreign tourists, experts and scientists-plant breeders 
 
 
The garden is engaged in studying of natural flora, collecting a vegetable gene pool, attraction to culture and selection of new plants varieties 
Except constant exhibitions and seasonal displays of collections,  in the garden temporary expositions work: exhibition of exotic butterflies, orchids, irises, tulips, day lily, roses, klematisa (liana), chrysanthemums.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Over 11 000 species and varieties are growing here. They represent flora from all parts of the world. The names of trees and bushes are Atlas cedar, Arizona and Mexican cypresses, Chinese wisteria, gingko relict from Carboniferous Period- remained only in China and Japan. Special value-trees and bushes from the Mediterranean, North and South America, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and other subtropical areas of Earth. 
 
 
 
Conditionally all territory  of the garden can be divided into some parts. The top part of the park is presented by exotic plants of different types: cypresses, Lebanese and Himalaya cedars, palm trees. Constructions of this part are decorated by the curling roses, an ivy and wisteria. 
The Nikitsky garden settled down in the territory of the former wood. It explains existence in it of old trees which age is much more than age of park plantings. If you want to see something another the Nikitsky garden can please you with the old berry yew which decorates garden space already during five hundred years.

 

 

 

 

 

The Nikitsky garden is a perfect place to meditate and add the finishing touches to your personal philosophy of life, think about the universe and just about everything. They stay open till late in the evenings in summer, and it's possible to walk around the garden after a hot day on the beach or sightseeing it's a pretty good way to unwind.

   As a national scientific center, the garden totals a largenumber of research laboratories and five main research departments 
    
   Thanks to a close arrangement Yalta transport system allows to reach the Nikitsky garden easily. At desire it is possible to use services of a taxi to take pleasure in all beauty of this slice of world flora. 
    
   Now u r supposed to take photos and walk alone around the garden. Don’t forget that the garden works till 17:00 pm, your bus is waiting you next to the main entrance.
