California is located on the West Coast of the United States, bordered by Oregon to the north, Nevada to the northeast, Arizona to the southeast, the Mexican state of Baja California to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. somewhat less religious than the rest of the US: 62 percent of Californians
say they are "absolutely certain" of the belief in God, while
in the nation 71 percent say so. The survey also revealed 48 percent
of Californians say religion is "very important," compared
to 56 percent nationally.
